Stay in The Eisenhower. Located on the top floor of the castle, is decorated in the style of a country house hotel with six double bedrooms. It also has a drawing room and a dining room. All accessed using the original 1920s elevator. The apartment was gifted to President Eisenhower in 1945 in recognition of his role in the Second World War, and members of his family and close friends stayed here on several occasions. Rooms can be hired individually or on an exclusive basis.
Within the estate there are also five beautifully appointed self-catering cottages: Brewhouse Flat, Royal Artillery Cottage, Ardlochan Lodge, North Segganwell and South Segganwell. Each cottage can sleep up to four guests and can be hired for a week or a short break. Maximum Capacity: 32
State Dining Room & Round Drawing Room
State Dining Room: Decorated in the Adam Revival style by the 3rd Marquess of Ailsa, the elegant State Dining Room features ornate ceilings, Corinthian pillars and portraits of the Kennedy family who once lived at Culzean. One of Scotland’s oldest families, the Culzean Kennedys can trace their ancestry to Robert the Bruce.
The State Dining Room can comfortably seat up to 60 guests. The castle’s original oak dining table can also be used to seat more intimate parties of up to 36. Maximum Capacity: 60
Round Drawing Room: Used as a grand reception room by the 10th Earl of Cassillis to entertain guests and dignitaries, the Round Drawing Room is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies. Imagine exchanging your vows in front of your friends and family, surrounded by six spectacular windows offering panoramic sea views across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran. The room is lavishly decorated with ornate cornicing, giltwood chairs and a crystal chandelier. Maximum Capacity: 72
