Staffordshire Moated Castle
Caverswall Castle is a 13th century moated castle in Staffordshire which had some Jacobean remodelling in 1615 into the beautiful manor we see today. This exclusive use venue in Staffordshire is one of only around a dozen habitable moated Castles in England and is steeped in history. King John used the Caverswall Castle and furthermore, the Wedgwood family lived here.
Facilities include a Gym, also a TV room with Sky and DVD player. Plenty of board games. We have a 19th C billiard table and pool table for use. There is a large kitchen and four reception rooms and an amazing roof terrace area. Outside we additionally have a large courtyard with stunning views over the Moat into the parkland beyond.
Transport links are fantastic with the A50 just 1 mile away which interlinks the M6 (jct15 – 10 minutes) to the M1 (jct 23A – 30 minutes) Stoke on trent train station is 10 minutes drive with London Euston 1hr 40. We are set in a quaint old English village surrounded by countryside but are very close to amenities such as supermarkets (1 mile away) and the city of Stoke on Trent is only 10 minutes drive.
Alton Towers and Trentham gardens are 20 minutes drive away and there are many things to do in the area from getting outdoors and enjoying the moorlands and Peak district to cinemas and indoor bowling etc. Caverswall Castle is an exclusive use venue in Staffordshire that really is a true rural retreat. The Castle is a very unique place and makes for a great stay with family or friends and certainly makes for an unforgettable experience!
